AFRICAN CHILD & THE PROPHET UNIFICATION


During his time in Gambia, African Child meets a producer from USA and recorded 7 songs1999 that has never been released then he travelled to Sweden year 2000 and formed his band The Prophet Unification 2002, and 2004 they recorded a four song demo. 2007 they was a part of a compilation album with the record company The White in UK with their song Ghettolife. And 2007/2008 they was in the Bodog Battle, one of the biggest competitions for unsigned bands. They wan two times and came to the city final at Debaser in Stockholm Sweden.



Bamjimba


amjimba is a one-man band comprising about twenty musicians and one brilliant producer / engineer! All the musicians have given their time and talent for free and for this I am very grateful.

Blood Shanti is a quiet unassuming man with a Jah given gift for music. As you can see from his concise biography in 'Who's Who' he has worked with the cream of the European based and Jamaican based artists and is noted as a top class drummer who has toured the four corners of this Earth.



David Brewster


David Brewster backed by Faze 3 Reggae /Steel Band, is a dynamic frontline vocalist performer, and steel pan musician, of reggae and soca Caribbean music.

The Faze 3 Reggae /Steel Band, is an experienced outfit, with David performing vocally his original material, as well as cover versions, of popular hits. A versatile band Faze 3 Reggae/Steel Band consists of drums, guitars, keyboards, and vocals, also performing background music only, at clients request



Goldmaster Allstars


In the last 3 years the Goldmaster Allstars have gone through quite a change, a transition you could call it, from a studio band to a blistering live show. The Allstars were first drawn out to perform in the spring of 1999, due to pressure from promoters and supporters of the band. This was mainly stemming from the success of their 7-inch singles which have gained a very good reputation within the British Reggae Industry.

Greenbeat Music are producers of high quality digital dub/ roots music and are co founders of the 'Reggae Pan' series.

We are an independent record label that releases home grown reggae music. This is the first incarnation of our website. Within these pages you will find everything you want to know about our label, together with sound clips from the latest releases. Homegrown


Homegrown are primarily a Manchester/Salford based UB40 tribute band who are currently touring regularly throughout the UK. They also are producing original material of which can be seen and heard on here alongside the UB40 stuff too. Jah Free


Jah Free has been involved in reggae music for some 15 years. Storming sound system successes include, 7" 'Wicked Can't Run', 12" 'Lightning Clap', 10" 'Rydim' and the 12" 'Vampire'. These, plus distinctive and powerful live sessions brought Jah Free to the attention of Universal Egg where he was been nurtured until his 2004 return to his own 'Jah Free Music' with the CD release 'Unity'.



Jus Goodie


Born Justin Goodman ... on May 12th, 1979. Justin Goodman is a young, talented, new and upcoming artist. Born in Chicago, and raised in Detroit, growing up in a musical home Goodie says "I was singing when I was still in my mamas belly"... in other words this youth was born to sing.



Lenny Deneb


This is the place you will discover what Reggae Rock is all about. This is where we mix and fuse together the influential sounds of reggae and rock music creating a real melting pot of a sound. Like all the best cuisines in the world, once you taste it will linger in your senses creating a feeling of "where am I?" And you've come to the realization that reggae certainly does rock!

Artist website containing many links to free music, videos and blogs. Also has an online shop to purchase albums etc. Well worth a visit.



MDV


Formally know as ONE STYLE MDV, MDV are a reggae band that have been together for over 20 years friends and through several transformations. They made their name on the live circuit in the 80’s and 90’s with fresh sounds and concepts within the world of reggae. Beginning their journey within the local community scene in the London boroughs of Hackney and Islington, the band soon started to build up a regular underground following and a reputation for their professionalism and reliability.



Memphis


A change of pace and style comes along in the shape of Memphis, a six piece reggae band from Birmingham. No laid back slack-jawed chilled out jive here though. A vibrant vibe and a big black back-beat with balls! Brothers Earl and Keith Robinson on vocals project plenty of attitude and John Irish on guitar, Morris Simpson on keys, Anthony Caines on bass and Victor Gift 'Veg' on drums back them to the hilt to produce a sound that has a style and power not produced by many reggae artists. A band destined to take this musical genre to new heights if given the opportunity.



Mikey Dread

Nucleus Roots


The ideology behind nucleus roots was to create a studio resource for the abundant and obvious talent already existing in Manchester. The studio focused on reggae, as the studio grew, so did the catalogue of artists, arrangements and songs.



Pama International


Introducing Pama International a soul-injected ska, rocksteady & dub sensation for the 21st century. Fronted by long-time musical cohorts Finny & Sean Flowerdew (The Loafers, Special Beat, Skooby & Skanga) Pama boast an all-star collective including The Specials' Lynval Golding, Madness' Lee Thompson alongside members from Galliano, Bentley Rhythm Ace, Steel Pulse, Style Council & Pop Will Eat Itself.



Rocker T


Rocker T was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Playing a major role in the downtown N.Y.C Ska scene, Rocker T, is also one of the founders of the N.Y.C Ragga & Dancehall scene as well. He has performed alongside some of the biggest names in Hip Hop and Reggae such as KRS ONE, Rita Marley, Burning Spear, Super Cat, and was one of the featured artists at Sierra Nevada World Music Festival in 2004.

 



Small Axe


Small Axe, are a ten piece, live reggae band, who's members are based in and around Bristol Uk. They were originally formed during 2002 by lead vocalist Neil Sartain from Bath and keyboard player Paul Ballard from Bristol.



Soul Venders


The original "Studio One" Band members from Jamaica Recording Studio, Kingston, Jamaica. This creative group of talented studio musicians, recorded with, and helped to launch the careers of so many legends.

Top UK band from the west country, recently worked with the late Junior Delgado. A must check..



Tinga Stewart


Neville "Tinga" Stewart career began in 1969. His first recording was with Ernest Wilson of the "Clarendonians", titled "She's Gone" and "Old Old Song". It was followed by a hit "Hear the Train" produced by Derrick Harriot which secured Tinga's position early in his career. Tinga was lead vocalist for a group called the "Wilcats" and performed at some of the leading entertainment spots in Kingston; The Flamingo Hotel, Sombero Club and VIP lounge. It was easy to see that Tinga was destined to make an enormous impact on the Reggae world. Teaming with the likes of "Fab Five" and "Byron Lee and the Dragonaires". Tinga tirelessly entertained in schools and at numerous local functions.



Toots And The Maytals


Toots is one of the true architects of reggae - so much so that "Do the Reggay," a 1968 single by Toots and his group, the Maytals, is credited with giving the genre its name. Classic songs written and recorded by Toots and the Maytals have been covered by the likes of the Clash and the Specials, and the group was featured in reggae's greatest breakthrough event - "The Harder They Come," the 1972 film that became an international sensation.



UK Players


The UK Players are a hard steppin' five piece roots reggae dub band originating from the West Country. The members met in 1996 at a weekly reggae session held in Salisbury, where the seeds were sown to form a band. They rehearsed 2-3 times a week and cut their teeth live on the local pub circuit, quickly developing their sound and crowd. The band recorded their debut single 'Further' at Jah Works Studio. Produced by Rej Forte, with I Natural on lead vocals.



Vibronics


The Vibronics sound was introduced to UK dub pioneers Zion Train in 1996, and so begun a fruitful relationship with their 'Universal Egg' label which lasts to the present day. Shortly after the release of the Egg Files in late 1997 ('Awakenings' included on this compilation was the first commercially released Vibronics track) came the offer to be part of the Universal Egg Experience, a four week tour of Europe taking in 22 dates across four countries.



Zion Train


Zion Train have been one of the planet's most prolific groups, producing everything from music to magazines, CD-ROMs to Internet sites to sound systems. Their early releases were on Universal Egg, until in 1995 they signed to China Records; when they released the world's first promotional dub music video for the 'Get Ready' single. Back on Universal Egg since 1999, they have continued to release quality dub, electronic, experimental drum and space and world dance music.
