Would like to... just can't afford that many fesitvals this year, with the missis being on maternity.....

£90 for a weekend ticket is a fairly good price for a UK festival. Not so sure it's worth the line-up however?? But in all fairness it's not just about the line-up when you hit a festival.

Trouble is there are so many excellent festivals in choose from, plus I've the only one of my mates that would want a complete reggae vibe.

Anyhow, One Love seems to get a bit better each year, good luck to 'em. Shame they refuse to throw us a few press passes, One Love up to a point! lol

Julian Marley, son of the Legendary Bob Marley, One Love Festival performance confirmed!

Julian Marley – son of the Legendary Bob Marley, approached the One Love Festival expressing his interest in performing at this year’s event which celebrates his father’s infamous 1978 One Love Concert. It is with great honour that on behalf of the One Love Festival Team I can confirm Julian Marley will be playing an exclusive Saturday night set on our One Love Stage,

Julian Marley has been blessed by his father’s great talent, from a young age music has been his life, at the age of only five he cut his first demo tape, recording a version of his father's classic composition, "Slave Driver," at the Marley family's Tuff Gong studio in Kingston. Since that auspicious beginning, Julian has devoted himself to a life in music, mastering a variety of instruments and writing songs that reflect his dedication to spiritual upliftment and social change. Three albums later Julian has toured the world, both as a solo performer backed by his Uprising Band and as a member of Ghetto Youths International, a musical collective whose core members are Julian and his brothers, Stephen and Damian. Stephen and Damian Marley have both contribute to his new album “Awake” that Julian will perform with the Uprising Band at this years One Love Festival alongside some of his fathers Classics in the Spirit of his father Bob Marley.

One Love Festival was born as the UK’s 30th Anniversary celebration of Bob Marleys famous 1978 One Love Concert. Where Thirty-two years ago Bob Marley performed at the first One Love Peace Concert in Kingston. It was held during a political civil war between the Jamaican Labour Party and the People's National Party and it peaked during Marley & The Wailers' performance of Jammin, when the singer joined the hands of political rivals, Michael Manley (PNP) and Edward Seaga (JLP) accompanied by a flash of lighting and clap of thunder from the heavens. Following the concert the opposing factions having seen that their leaders weren't hell bent on killing each other cooled down the conflict and eased the erupting civil war.

Festival Organiser, Dan Wiltshire, commented One Love Festival is now in its 3rd year and is so honoured the Son of Bob Marley to not only acknowledge our festival but ask to perform has just blown me away. Julian will be representing his father memory and spirit at this years event. We originally put this event on to raise awareness of Bob Marley’s message 3yrs later we actually have a Marley performing. It is something we could only have dreamed of and we feel truly honoured to have Julian Marley performing. Its going to be a truly amazing and memorable show and we can’t wait”

Benjamin Zephaniah a British / Jamaican Rastafarian writer and dub poet. A very well-known figure in contemporary English Literature and was included in The Times list of Britain's top 50 post-war writers in 2008 - has in anticipation of his headlining performance at One Love Festival on Sunday 8th August written a Poem specifically for the event called “Loved Up”. The poem will be the theme of the festival - projected onto screens and put into programme.

Festival Organiser, Dan Wiltshire, commented “for Benjamin to write a poem specifically for One Love Festival and our customers are honoured. I don’t think even Glastonbury Festival has had a poem written about it from such a huge literary figure. Benjamin has really captured the essence of the festival in his words as you can see, we are really looking forward to his performance on Sunday where he be performing it live”.

Loved Up.

We dance to mighty words,
We speak to righteous riddims,
We dub it hard.

We get up united,
We stand up undivided,
Like lions in zion
We are fearless wise eyes.

We are peacemaking rockers,
Dancing on grass
Loving under trees,
As creation intended.
How we love sky,
How we love each other,
Drum love
Bass love,
The vibes, the vibes
How sweet thou art.

And so, we who are gathered here
Skanking top ranking under European skies,
Know that we who have gathered here
Are joined up riddimwise.
Let our minds and bodies be free
And let us be moved by our unity.

This is the dread magic operating,
This is the One Love happening.
